NEWPORT -- Mrs. Tricia (Milburn) Donnelly has been teaching in the Newport Public Schools for 18 years. She has taught 3rd grade and 4th grade. She is a proud product of the Newport Public School system. She attended a variety of elementary schools starting with Carey Elementary School, Underwood Annex and Underwood Elementary School, Thompson Jr. High School and Rogers High School. graduating in 1991.
She continued her education with a Deaf Studies degree from Northwestern Connecticut Community Technical College, a BachelorŐs degree in Elementary/Deaf Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and a MasterŐs degree in Reading from the University of Rhode Island.
In addition to teaching elementary school, she has been teaching American Sign Language at Salve Regina University for 19 years and she has coached Fastpitch softball at Rogers High School for 16 years as well as two travel softball teams throughout the summer for the past 4 years. She believes in the power of learning to change lives and looks forward to doing so each and every year she teaches! Congratulations, an honor well deserved!!
